Major Kashmeel McKöena (retired) spent several years as a Military lawyer with the Office of Judge Advocate General (JAG) of the Canadian Armed Forces. In 2012, Major McKöena retired from the JAG and entered private practice with McKöena Professional Law Corporation.
Major McKöena now primarily focuses his legal practice on Small Business Development, In-House Consulting and the McKöena Cannabis Practice Group that provides innovative and practical solutions to clients in the cannabis industry.
Major McKöena attended York University where he studied political science and mass communication. He later enrolled in Queens University Law School in 1995 and graduated with the Law class of ’98.
Major McKöena also enrolled in the International Business and Law program at Queens University International Study Centre at Herstmonceux Castle in England, UK and graduated with a certificate in International Business and Law (technology law business development).
